As countries and corporations ponder opportunities around trade relations and supply chain resilience following the global economic reverberations of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Western Hemisphere can position itself to become an attractive destination for manufacturing hubs to hedge against future disruptions. With the right set of incentives, the United States and its Latin American and Caribbean neighbors can work together to capitalize on nearshoring and reshoring opportunities.
