On the heels of President Obama’s announcement of his March 23-24 trip to Argentina, the Atlantic Council held a public keynote conversation with Argentina Secretary of Trade Miguel Braun. The event was held on February 23rd, 2016, at the Atlantic Council Headquarters.

The Trade Secretary, the first high-ranking official to visit Washington from the new government of President Mauricio Macri, outlined the government’s vision on trade priorities with the United States, Latin America—including the Mercosur trade bloc—and the broader global community. After his keynote, the minister talked to Jason Marczak, the Director of the Latin America Growth Initiative of Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center, and answered questions such as how Argentina intends to further diversify its trade and what new measures we should expect from the Macri government.
