Eurasia Center Hosts Rumsfeld Fellows

Eurasia Center Hosts Rumsfeld FellowsOn October 31, 2013, the Dinu Patriciu Eurasia Center had the pleasure of hosting the fall 2013 Rumsfeld Fellows class in our beautiful new offices. These accomplished and transatlantically minded men and women spoke with Ambassadors Ross Wilson and John E. Herbst about evolving US Foreign Policy toward the region.

As the countries of broader Central Asia chart a new path in the twenty-first century away from command economies and totalitarian regimes, the United States and the West can play a helpful role in their evolution toward freer economic and political systems. The Rumsfeld Fellowship program is playing a part by cultivating a cadre of rising young leaders in politics, business, and academia from the region.
