AN ADDRESS BY AND CONVERSATION WITH

Roger Krone
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Leidos

Please join the Atlantic Council on Monday, April 2, from 4:30 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. for the next event in our Captains of Industry Series, featuring Roger Krone, the chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Leidos, who will discuss how the government-services industry is transforming to bring science and technology to bear on solving societies’ hardest problems.

Companies that provide technology services to the federal government are now. There’s a dynamism among companies in the government-services sector, and Leidos is in the thick of it. These firms are at the forefront of initiatives to bring digital transformation to government operations. In turn, the sector is enjoying renewed growth of sales and value following a down draft of several years from the peak of defense spending in 2010. Not least, there is a vigorous restructuring of government-services contractors underway which was given impetus in 2016 by Leidos’s acquisition of Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems & Global Solutions business segment.

Roger Krone is the chairman and CEO of Leidos, a $10 billion public company which applies information technology, engineering, and science to solve complex problems for customers in defense and intelligence, healthcare, and civil government. Mr. Krone took the helm at Leidos in 2014, following a 35-year career in aerospace at Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, and General Dynamics.

The Atlantic Council Captains of Industry Series is a platform for senior executives in aerospace and defense to address the public interests their companies serve and the public policies that shape these markets. By engaging the perspectives of business leaders about issues at the interface of ministries and industries, the series is cultivating a constituency for their practical solution.
