The Troubled Partnership–Where Are Transatlantic Relations Heading?

On June 5, the Atlantic Council Northern Europe Office in Stockholm, in cooperation with Allmänna Försvarsföreningen (AFF), organized a morning seminar with Alexander Vershbow, Distinguished Fellow at the Atlantic Council and former Deputy Secretary General of NATO.

The seminar focused on how the transatlantic relationship has developed during the Trump administration and what its prospects are ahead. The conversation covered issued such as long-term wedges, the security situation in the Baltic Sea region and how Europe should effectively deal with the US.

Erika Bergström, Senior Correspondent Foreign News at SVT, offered her comments on the status of the transatlantic relationship and developments in Europe. The seminar was moderated by Anna Wieslander, head of the Northern Europe office in Stockholm.
