The Wall Street Journal quotes Rafik Hariri Center Acting Director Danya Greenfield on US involvement in Libya’s political transition:
“The U.S. is willing to engage only when it becomes absolutely necessary to mitigate acute crises,” said Danya Greenfield, acting director of the Rafik Hariri Center for the Middle East at the Atlantic Council, a think tank.
The administration is unlikely to become more involved “in terms of a more systematic or long-term view to Libya’s overall security or how to deal with claims for greater autonomy” by rebels, she said.
