Jason Marczak, Director, Latin America Economic Growth Initiative Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center, Atlantic Council, submitted comments on NAFTA negotiations to the Office of United States Trade Representative (USTR) on June 12, 2017. His comment outlined negotiating objectives of the North America free trade agreement with Canada and Mexico. USTR requested comments from the public to help agency policy makers improve federal regulations. In his comments, Marczak highlighted NAFTA’S economic legacy, it’s byproducts and what an optimal NAFTA modernization agreement should include. This is just another way the Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center emphasizes how crucial US- Mexico relations are to the United Sates national security interest and the 5 million Americans who would be out of work without NAFTA.
