The Atlantic Council is now accepting additional applications and nominations for an Atlanticist Fellow from Hungary. The deadline to apply for this position is Friday, May 25, 2018.

As part of a long-term reinvestment in bolstering US-Central European ties and a new effort to build stronger people-to-people connections between Americans and Central Europeans, the Atlantic Council is recruiting candidates for the Atlanticist Fellowship, a full-time, in-house residency within the Council for up to 12 months, focused on policy relevant work.

The program’s goal is to increase US engagement with Central Europe and to foster champions of the transatlantic relationship both in the region and in the United States. To achieve this, the Council will gather together top leaders from across all sectors of Central Europe who share the Council’s mission, sponsor their professional development, and integrate them into the Council’s network of policymakers, thought leaders, and advocates.

At this time we are recruiting for a Hungarian fellow. Applicants for this position must be Hungarian citizens, have a graduate degree or higher and have several years of experience in managerial or supervisory roles in business, government, or non-profits. Ideal candidates will possess an entrepreneurial spirit, bold vision for the future, character to lead and inspire, and passion for solving global challenges.

Through the Atlanticist Fellowship, fellows will:

• • • Become integral staff members of the Atlantic Council’s Europe team, including a full stipend, office space, and dedicated funds for professional travel, publications, and mentorship;

• • • Lead a specific project in their desired area of expertise with an Atlantic Council mentor, to include at least one publication and presentation;

• • • Form part of a larger team of policy entrepreneurs and researchers from Central and Eastern Europe and work together on a common project on US-Central European relations to include both a written product and a public event;

• • • Gain an understanding of US government, politics, business and academia;

• • • Travel around America and forge lasting personal relationships while participating in a variety of business, political, and academic settings; and

• • • Join the Council’s network of policymakers, thought leaders, and advocates during and after the conclusion of the program.
