Henrik Fogh Rasmussen is a nonresident senior fellow for the Future Europe Initiative at the Atlantic Council. He is also the founder and president of Argonne Global, a consulting firm focused on business expansion and investment projects across a wide range of industries and geographies.

Previously, Rasmussen was the co-founder and managing director of Cimbria Capital, a private equity firm focused on the agribusiness and water sectors in North America and Europe. He was also the founder and president of the consulting firm Rasmussen Public Affairs where he built an international team of consultants advising corporate clients on geopolitical issues.

Mr. Rasmussen started his career at DCI Group, a global consulting firm based in Washington, DC, where he advised corporate clients on geopolitics and managed teams of consultants in the United States and Europe.

A long-time advocate of American global leadership, Mr. Rasmussen has appeared in major international publications such as the Chicago Tribune, the Financial Times, Forbes, the South China Morning Post, the Washington Times, and Die Welt. He has also been featured in numerous radio and TV programs and served as a weekly foreign affairs columnist for the Danish business daily Børsen from 2011 to 2013. 

Born in Denmark, Mr. Rasmussen was active in Danish grassroots politics and served as a platoon commander in the Royal Danish Army before moving to the United States in 2000. 

Mr. Rasmussen holds an MA from the University of Pennsylvania and graduated summa cum laude from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. He became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 2010 and currently lives in Springfield, Illinois with his wife and three daughters.
