Marta Kepe is a nonresident senior fellow with the Transatlantic Security Initiative in the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security. She is also a Senior Defense Analyst at the nonprofit, nonpartisan RAND Corporation. Her work focuses on transatlantic defense, military industry and logistics, capability development, and resilience building. She previously worked for RAND Europe, where she led research projects on European future capability needs and multinational collaboration on military capability procurement, research and development and maintenance. Her previous work experience includes the Latvian Ministry of Defence, National War College, and the NATO Advisory Team in Kosovo.

Marta received her MA in security studies from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. She speaks English, Latvian, French, and Russian.
