3,387 parliamentary candidates are competing in the second round of voting this week. Representatives of the Revolution Continues Alliance, which includes six parties along with the Revolutionary Youth Coalition, say that the alliance learned from its losses in the first round and is staging a more organized and better-staffed campaign this week. However, the secular and liberal coalitions have rejected a proposal from some civil society organizations calling for full coordination on individual seats.
