The Atlantic Council’s Europe Center is pleased to invite you to a virtual public event on “Transatlanticism in a time of crisis: The view from Prague,” featuring Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský. This virtual event will take place on Tuesday, April 26th at 4:00 p.m. ET.

As Russia’s invasion of Ukraine continues well into its second month, Czechia has played a prominent role in supporting Ukraine and has remained at the forefront of the Western response. The Czech government has provided Ukraine with military aid worth millions of euros, including tanks and heavy weaponry, and Prague has been a vocal proponent of sanctions against Moscow as well as a staunch supporter of further European integration for Kyiv.

Even before the invasion of Ukraine, Minister Lipavský has been vocal about the threat new authoritarians pose to the transatlantic alliance and liberal world order, including from countries like Russia and China. To discuss the view from Prague on the crisis in Ukraine and how Czechia fits into the future of the transatlantic alliance, Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský will join the Atlantic Council for this virtual public event.

This discussion will take place on Zoom and will be broadcast on YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. To receive the event information, please register using the button above. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with information on how to watch the event.
