Thursday, March 31, 2011, the Atlantic Council’s International Security Program welcomed Edward Lucas, The Economist’s Central and Eastern Europe Correspondent and International Editor.

As a part of the Transatlantic Initiative on Nordic-Baltic Security, Mr. Lucas engaged with experts as well as regional and U.S. government representatives on the prospects for Nordic-Baltic security and defense cooperation. The roundtable discussion, moderated by Atlantic Council Executive Vice President Damon Wilson, sought to explore the way ahead for Nordic-Baltic security cooperation as well as the what roles the region could play in the larger context of European and transatlantic security.
