Wednesday, March 2, 2011, the Atlantic Council’s International Security Program hosted Fabrice Pothier, Head of Policy Planning in the private office of the NATO Secretary General, in a small group discussion with the Council’s Strategic Advisors Group.

Chaired by Atlantic Council Executive Vice President and International Security Program Director Damon Wilson, the discussion looked ahead to the 2012 NATO Summit in the United States, asking how NATO can afford defense, how it can remain engaged as an alliance, and how to successfully connect with other global players in the face of budget austerity and post-Afghanistan fatigue.
