Please join the Atlantic Council on Wednesday, June 8, from 4:30 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. for the next event in its Captains of Industry Series-a discussion with Richard F. Ambrose, the Executive Vice President for Space Systems at Lockheed Martin, who will make prepared remarks and take questions on his company's outlook for the space sector and plans to operate a thriving space company within it.

Rick Ambrose is Executive Vice President of Lockheed Martin's Space Systems Company and an officer of Lockheed Martin Corporation. Previously, he was President of Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Solutions-National. Ambrose also served as Vice President and General Manager of the Surveillance and Navigation Systems line within the Space Systems Company. Prior to that, he led Lockheed Martin's Mission Systems and Sensors Tactical Systems as Vice President and General Manager. Before joining Lockheed Martin in July 2000, Ambrose was Vice President of Space Systems for Raytheon's Command, Control and Communications business segment, and formerly was the President and General Manager for Space Systems, Hughes Information Technology Systems. Ambrose chairs the Sandia Corporation Board of Directors and United Launch Alliance (ULA) Board of Directors and serves as a board member for the Space Foundation. He also chairs the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on Space.

The Atlantic Council Captains of Industry Series is a platform for senior executives in aerospace and defense to address the public interests their companies serve and the public policies that shape these markets. By engaging the perspective of business leaders about issues at the interface of defense ministries and industries, the series is cultivating a constituency for practical solutions to these problems.
