Yong June Kim is a visiting fellow with Asia Security Initiative at the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security, as well as the dean of the Graduate School of Chinese Studies at Sungkyunkwan University, a renowned research private university in South Korea. He concurrently serves as the director of the China Research Institute and a professor of the Business School at Sungkyunkwan University. An expert of Chinese corporate strategies and cultures, Kim previously served as chief executive officer of Samsung Open Tide China, president of the Korean Marketing Association, and president of the Korean Academy of International Business.

Kim holds a BBA from Seoul National University, MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, and a PhD from Northwestern University. He consults for various international companies including Samsung Electronics, Hyundai and Kia Motors, SK Telecom, and the Samsung Economics Research Institute.
