Simultaneously, the Director of the Africa Center of the Atlantic Council in the United States Dr. J. Peter Pham has published a piece in The Huffington Post (28 May 2015) about the ordeal of the Sudanese radiologist Dr. Hania Morsi Fadl who found it extremely difficult to get the latest US medical equipment and software for her non-governmental Breast Cancer Center. Thankfully, Dr. Hania was awarded an Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Queen Elizabeth last month. Needless to say, sanctions mean loss of business opportunities for US companies too.
