The US-Africa Leaders Summit in Washington, DC, August 4-6 will draw together more than 40 African heads of state and scores of African business leaders to meet with US government and private industry leaders. The Summit is designed to forge stronger US diplomatic and commercial ties with a vibrant continent increasingly recognized throughout the world as a key trade and investment partner. The Africa Center will mark the historic occasion by releasing two reports focused on economic opportunities on the continent and by hosting high-level delegations at the Council.
