Every day, news from the Middle East paints a portrait of chaos and despair. But in the maelstrom of violence and conflict, there are stories of hope, optimism, and progress for the region. Make a short video highlighting such a story.
Note: Submissions in both Arabic and English are welcome.

PRIZES

  1. First place – $1,000 and featured:
    • at the Atlantic Council’s Middle East Strategy Task Force (MEST) report launch event,
    • at Atlantic Council flagship events across the world,
    • on the Atlantic Council’s Middle East Strategy website,
    • and distributed widely throughout the United States and the Middle East.
  2. Second place – $500, featured on the MEST website, and distributed widely throughout the United States and the Middle East.
  3. Third place – $250, featured on the MEST website, and distributed widely throughout the United States and the Middle East.
  4. Honorable Mention(s) – featured on the MEST website and distributed widely throughout the United States and the Middle East.


GUIDELINES & INSTRUCTIONS

  • Videos should be 2-5 minutes.
  • Upload videos to YouTube with “MEST Video Submission 2016” in the video description.
  • Send video link to MESTVideo@atlanticcouncil.org. Email should include name(s), email address, and phone number.

The Middle East Strategy Task Force (MEST) is a bipartisan Atlantic Council initiative co-chaired by former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and former National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley to try to better understand the underlying dynamics behind the current crises in the region and develop a long-term partnership strategy for supporting the people of the Middle East in building a stable, secure, and prosperous future.
