The Atlantic Council’s Michael S. Ansari Africa Center hosted a not-for-attribution roundtable discussion with the Right Honourable Tendai Biti, MP, minister of finance of the Republic of Zimbabwe and secretary-general of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC).

Mr. Biti focused his remarks on the impact of US diplomacy on Zimbabwe, particularly in light of the approval of the new constitution last month and the upcoming general elections. Africa Center Deputy Director Bronwyn Bruton moderated the session, which was attended by US government officials, democracy experts, leading academics, and members of the business community.
