Bart Piasecki is an assistant director at the Atlantic Council’s GeoEconomics Center.
He previously served as an advisor to the Executive Board at the International Monetary Fund (IMF). In this role, he worked on global economic policy and program design across more than seventy countries, supporting projects worth a total of over fifty billion dollars.
Before joining the IMF, Piasecki was an advisor to the Polish minister of finance. In this role, he worked on strengthening international financial cooperation, shaping global trade policies, and promoting strategic investments. He worked on developing policy responses to issues including the disruptive impact of artificial intelligence on labor markets, the reshaping of international trade frameworks, and shifting macroeconomic trends.
Piasecki holds an MBA and completed an executive program at Stanford Graduate School of Business. He currently lives in Washington, DC.
