Jian Bland is a 2025–2026 Millennium fellow and vice president of workplace experience at Mastercard’s New York City Technology Hub—one of Mastercard’s global innovation centers—where she leads cross-functional initiatives to cultivate high-performing environments that promote strategic oversight, foster collaboration, and guide continuous improvement of the workplace experience. She specializes in implementing best practices across business units, driving workplace pilots through iterative experimentation and research, and advancing meaningful partnerships to strengthen organizational culture. Prior to joining Mastercard, Bland led a city-wide social impact strategy in New Jersey focused on education and economic mobility, collaborating with nonprofit, government, and corporate stakeholders at the local, state, and regional levels. Bland holds a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice, where she currently teaches a course on social impact and international development
