Human RightsNidal Azhary is a 2025–2026 Millennium fellow and the executive director of L’Union Féministe Libre, where she leads efforts to address gender-based violence and drives institutional and policy advocacy initiatives. She is a public policy expert with over a decade of experience in lobbying, law, business, and governance across North Africa, the African continent, and the Mediterranean. Azhary has extensive experience working with international institutions and engaging governments, political stakeholders, and the private sector to advance policy reforms and corporate accountability. She has collaborated with Fortune 500 companies and international nongovernmental organizations to develop corporate human rights frameworks, in addition to learnings from the Corporate Equality Index. Azhary holds a degree in public law, and she specialized in international humanitarian law, where her focus was on the protection of civilians in armed conflicts. She also participated in business programs at Notre Dame University and Stanford Graduate School of Business, among others.
