Cristián Stewart Claro is a 2025–2026 Millennium fellow and the executive director of IdeaPaís, a Chilean think tank that promotes public policies rooted in solidarity and the common good, with the aim of strengthening democratic institutions and training young leaders. Under his leadership, IdeaPaís played a role in designing the government program of Evelyn Matthei, Chile’s center-right presidential candidate for 2025. Stewart Claro has a background in law, public administration, and philosophy. He co-founded two political movements (Solidaridad PUC and Construye Sociedad) and served as regional coordinator at TECHO-Chile, leading initiatives to improve housing conditions and empower local communities. Stewart Claro holds a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Science in philosophy of the social sciences from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Passionate about governance, leadership, and institutional trust, he works to bridge ideas and sectors to strengthen democracy in Chile and Latin America.
