On August 5, Samantha Vinograd, nonresident senior fellow at the Adrienne Arsht National Security Resilience Initiative, appeared on CBS News to discuss Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s talk with President Trump focused on ending the war with Russia.
What we’ve seen instead is President Trump consistently move the goalposts on when his deadline is for Russia to reach a ceasefire with Ukraine. However, while President Trump does keep moving those goalposts, he says he is imposing additional pressure on Russia.
