Areas of Focus
The GeoTech Commission applies a shared strategic lens to identify where AI capabilities intersect with geopolitical leverage. The Commission’s six areas of focus each represent a key point where leadership, insight, and investment are urgently needed. Together, these six areas form an interconnected view of AI’s geopolitical terrain. Energy infrastructure enables scale; supply chain resilience ensures foundational access; talent and institutions make implementation possible; innovation drives competitive intensity and sets the pace; government leadership sets standards and shapes adoption; and alignment with allies ensures values-based global influence. Each lever is necessary, but each is insufficient alone.
Findings of the Commission or views expressed during public events of the Commission should not be seen as an endorsement by all Commissioners or the organizations represented on the Commission.
