On Thursday, December 4 at 8:00 a.m. ET/9:00 p.m. Taipei Time, the Indo-Pacific Security Initiative (IPSI) of the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security will host a seminar on enhancing Taiwan’s energy resilience.

This event is part of IPSI’s Cross-Strait and Beyond Seminar Series, which informs the public debate on key issues for Taiwan and the United States, held in partnership with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States

Enhancing energy security is key to Taiwan’s ability to counter a potential quarantine or blockade imposed by the People’s Republic of China. Speakers will discuss Taiwan’s drive to address energy-related vulnerabilities, including lessons learned from recent blackout events, positive steps toward grid resiliency, and Taiwan’s energy transition outlook.
