The Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center hosts a conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs Fernando Aramayo.

On Tuesday, July 7 at 10:00 a.m. ET, the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center will host a virtual conversation with Bolivian Foreign Minister Fernando Aramayo on Bolivia’s democratic and economic stabilization amid nationwide roadblocks that have strained supply networks of essential goods.

This discussion follows Bolivian President Rodrigo Paz’s June 20 declaration of a state of emergency after several months of violent protests. The crisis has underscored Bolivia’s economic challenges and democratic resilience at a pivotal moment for the country, with broader political and economic implications for the region.

The conversation will explore how Bolivia navigates the path ahead to restore stability, rebuild public trust, strengthen democratic governance, and advance its broader economic agenda. It will also examine what this moment means for US-Bolivia relations and the hemisphere.
