Christopher Burn

Christopher Burn is a nonresident senior fellow in the GeoStrategy Initiative at the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security. He is a consultant with Goshen Analytics, LLC where he advises on political, economic, and financial trends and serves as a member of the board of directors for the general partner of Mach Natural Resources LLC, a publicly listed US energy company.

Burn was founder and manager of Goshen Global Equity, LP, which was named hedge fund of the year in 2008 by Absolute Return magazine. Prior to founding Goshen, Burn served in investment positions with Fortress Investments, LLC and MFS Investment Management in New York, Boston, and Singapore. Burn has also served in senior investment roles with foundations and a major family office. 

Prior to entering investments, Burn served as an analyst with the State Department’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research from 1989 to 1993, where his coverage included the global arms trade and military industries. He was named the bureau’s best new analyst of the year in 1990.

Burn received a BA with honors from Wesleyan University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
