Sam Cho

Sam Cho is a 2026–27 Millennium fellow and a public-sector leader working at the intersection of global trade, economic development, and climate-focused infrastructure. He currently serves as a commissioner of the Port of Seattle, where he helps govern one of the largest container gateways and airports in the US and advances cross-border partnerships to strengthen supply chain resilience and decarbonization. Cho has held senior roles across government and the private sector, including service in the Obama administration and leadership positions in global mobility and clean-energy companies. He is also the founder of Seven Seas Export, an international trading and logistics company focused on US-Asia trade, which was later acquired. His work centers on public-private collaboration, international engagement, and expanding equitable access to economic opportunity. Cho holds a master of science in international political economy from the London School of Economics and a bachelor of arts in international economic relations from American University. He is a Marshall Memorial fellow and a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
