Gerald Sim

Gerald Sim is a visiting military fellow from Singapore at the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security. His research examines how state and nonstate actors use narratives, digital platforms, and emerging technologies to shape perception and decision-making.

A national security and strategic communications practitioner with more than a decade of experience, Sim previously held leadership and analytical roles within Singapore’s Ministry of Defense, spanning threat analysis, defense relations, communications research, and digital forensics.

Sim holds a master of international relations from the Australian National University, and a bachelor of arts from the University of British Columbia. His research has been published by E-International Relations.
