From Ministry of Defense of Lithuania:  On April 26 four “Mirage F-1 CR” fighter-jets of the French Air Force will land in the Air Base of the Lithuanian Air Force in Šiauliai to take over NATO’s Air Policing mission in the Baltic States.

The French air capabilities are deployed to police the airspace above Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia from Mont De Marsan Air Base of the French Air Force. With this rotation France will take part with its air assets and personnel in the Baltic Air Policing mission for the fourth time.

The shifts in charge of air policing over the Baltic States will formally rotate on April with the mission being handed over from Denmark to France.  (photo: Ministry of Defense of Lithuania)
