German Navy Frigate F214 Lübeck, April 1, 2007.

From DPA:  Two German navy vessels in the Mediterranean are to be placed back under NATO command, a week after the military alliance became involved in the Libya conflict, a defence ministry spokesman said in Berlin Monday.

But the warships will not be available for the NATO military campaign to deny airspace and arms supplies to Libyan leader Moamer Gaddafi, the spokesman told the German Press Agency dpa.

The frigate Luebeck and the minesweeper will instead be deployed ‘soon’ with Active Endeavour, a NATO operation to patrol against terrorist activity. …
