Norway hands over NATO Contact Point Embassy role to Turkey

From Allied Command Operations:  After four years of successful representation of NATO in BiH, Norway has now handed over the role of NATO Contact Point  Embassy to Turkey. In this function the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey will serve as a contact point for NATO issues and will disseminate information about the role and policies of the NATO Alliance.

During a small ceremony hosted by NATO HQ Sarajevo today, Ambassador Jan Braathu of Norway highlighted the tremendous progress seen in Bosnia and  Herzegovina’s efforts to deepen its relations with NATO. Both Ambassador Braathu and Ambassador Vefahan Ocak of Turkey pledged their continued support to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path toward full NATO-membership.  (photo: NATO)
