As Latin America and the Caribbean emerge as increasingly central players in addressing global economic and strategic challenges, the region’s growth, stability, and investment climate have never been more critical. The 2026 IDB Annual Meetings present a pivotal moment to align these efforts, and this reception will offer a forum to reflect on Paraguay’s leadership and the broader future of investment-led growth across the Americas.
The Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center of the Atlantic Council, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Paraguay, will host a high-level reception “Asunción 2026: A new chapter for hemispheric economic growth” on March 12, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm (PYT, local time) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Paraguay, Palacio Benigno López (Calle Palma), on the sidelines of the IDB Annual Meetings in Asunción
The evening will celebrate Paraguay’s rich culture and its growing role as convener of regional dialogue and partnership.
