On Tuesday, July 7 at 10:00 a.m. ET, the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center will host a virtual conversation with Bolivian Foreign Minister Fernando Aramayo on on the path forward and plans to further strengthen its international partnerships.
Eight months into Bolivia’s new administration, the government of President Paz has faced unrest and blockades seeking to grind the country to a standstill, forcing the president to declare a state of emergency. This is a pivotal moment for Bolivia as the Paz government takes steps to advance stabilization and forge a new role for the country in the hemisphere, underscored by the broad support received from the United States and at the recent OAS General Assembly. Now, how can the international community further support Bolivia in this effort?
