On Tuesday, April 21, from 9:00–9:30 a.m. ET, the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center (AALAC) and GeoTech Center will host a virtual conversation with Panama’s National Secretariat of Science, Technology, and Innovation (SENACYT) on how the country is building an innovation economy through artificial intelligence and science.
Panama is making a push to position itself as a regional hub for science, technology, and innovation—launching a national AI strategy, investing in sovereign digital infrastructure, forging partnerships with leading US universities, and creating a permanent residency pathway for foreign scientists and researchers.
