On Tuesday, February 4 at 12:00 p.m. ET, the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center will host Canadian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Jonathan Wilkinson for a discussion on advancing bilateral energy cooperation amid the changing North American political landscape.

As US President Donald Trump rolls out a flurry of new executive orders and leads his administration in refining its global trade strategy, the US-Canada bilateral relationship looms large. Amid a complex and increasingly competitive global landscape, shared economic and security goals point to an opportunity for the United States and Canada to align on a vision that strengthens cross-border energy trade, develops resilient value chains, and augments US energy influence on a global scale.

This conversation will explore ways to enhance bilateral trade cooperation on North American energy security and economic growth while countering potential energy and trade adversaries.

This event will take place at the Atlantic Council headquarters and will be broadcast on ACTV, YouTube, X, and Facebook. To attend this event in-person or virtually, please sign up using the form on this page.
