Please join the Atlantic Council's South Asia Center for a conversation on ongoing de-radicalization efforts in Bangladesh and the role of civil society in rooting out extremism. In a moderated conversation with Distinguished Senior Fellow Shuja Nawaz, Mr. Shahriar Kabir, a prominent Bangladeshi human rights activist, will discuss his efforts to promote secular democracy based on pluralism in Bangladeshi society and campaigns against religious extremism. The discussion will focus on reforming the educational system as a means to counter violent extremism and identifying lessons for South Asian countries confronting the scourge of religious extremism.
