As economic leaders from across the globe convene in Washington for the 2015 spring meetings of the IMF and World Bank, the Atlantic Council will host a conversation with European Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis, former Prime Minister of Latvia, on April 16 on the occasion of his first visit to the United States in his current role.

As a part of the Atlantic Council’s ongoing EuroGrowth Conversation Series, Commission Vice President for the Euro and Social Dialogue Dombrovskis will discuss the current situation across the Eurozone, the future of the Economic and Monetary Union, the economic impact of the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, and how the EU plans to boost smart, inclusive, and sustainable growth in the years ahead.

Vice President Dombrovskis has served as the Commissioner for the Euro and Social Dialogue since 2014. Prior to that, he was Prime Minister of Latvia since 2009, and previously served as Latvia’s Minister of Finance.

The EuroGrowth Conversation Series is a recurring discussion series at the Atlantic Council analyzing the prospects for European economic recovery and a forum for new and innovative ideas to be shared among leading policymakers, academics, and the private sector.

We hope you can join us.
