From investment flows to global competitiveness, this discussion explores the opportunities and challenges shaping Guatemala’s economic future.

On Monday, November 2 at 4:30 p.m. ET, the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center (AALAC), in partnership with the Foundation for the Development of Guatemala (FUNDESA), will host a conversation on Guatemala’s economic outlook and the opportunities ahead for investment and competitiveness.

Guatemala’s economy has maintained steady growth in recent years, and it is projected to continue growing at around 4 percent of gross domestic product per year. In order to bolster and sustain that path, Guatemala will need to attract greater investment, strengthen trade competitiveness, and advance critical infrastructure. This discussion will focus on how improvements in roads, ports, transportation, and logistics can help unlock new investment and economic opportunities.

This conversation is the fourth in a series of events under a partnership between AALAC and FUNDESA focused on identifying mutually beneficial opportunities to drive prosperity in both Guatemala and the United States. A reception will follow the event.

New policy: In-person attendees will be required to show photo ID upon arrival, and no on-site registration will be permitted. Guests will not be admitted later than twenty minutes after the event’s start time.
