On Wednesday, February 26, the Atlantic Council WIn Fellowship will host a hybrid discussion in Abu Dhabi on how visionary entrepreneurs drive cultural evolution in the UAE.
The UAE creative economy is key to its diversification strategy, driving growth in film, media, fashion, music, and publishing. These industries blend tradition with modernity, reinforcing the UAE goal of becoming a global cultural hub. Accordingly, Dubai’s new creative industry strategy aims to boost arts’ contribution to the UAE’s gross domestic product, aiming for it to reach 5 percent within a decade.
As the last WIn Fellowship workshop for the UAE 2024–2025 cohort, this event will delve into how visionary entrepreneurs drive cultural evolution in the UAE, foster cross-cultural collaborations, and push boundaries in ways that influence the region and beyond. The discussion will shed light on how the government supports the startup scene’s growth and the tools available for founders to scale their businesses while contributing to the country’s heritage and advancing the region’s fast-paced artistic modernization.
Those interested in attending the event in person should email Nour Dabboussi ndabboussi@atlanticcouncil.org.
