What will the 2026 US midterms mean for trade, energy, artificial intelligence, and China?

On Thursday, October 29 at 11:00 a.m. ET, the Atlantic Council and FGS Global hosted a conversation on the shifting dynamics in Congress and what the election results may mean for global geopolitics.

From geopolitics and energy, to China, global trade, artificial intelligence, and technology, the shifting political environment will reverberate beyond Washington. The elections will shape US foreign policy, influence global trade dynamics, and signal the United States’ global leadership through 2028 and beyond.

Atlantic Council and FGS experts discuss FGS Global’s Alternative Futures framework and what new policies in Washington may mean for governments, businesses, and markets worldwide.
