As the global community continues to grapple with the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Atlantic Council is open for business. Our business, meetings, and events, however, are occurring virtually. For more information, please read an update from our President and CEO.

As the United States prepares to transition to a new presidential administration, the Atlantic Council will be hosting a high-level public event to bring together leaders to discuss how to renew US leadership in the world on topics such as:

  1. The Biden administration’s opportunity to renew American global leadership and reenergize democratic alliances;
  2. The global trends and risks facing a new administration;
  3. How the Biden administration can rebuild the domestic foundations of US leadership and reestablish public support for American engagement in the world; and
  4. A strategy for addressing the China challenge.

This event will also feature the launch of two new papers: Top 10 Risks and Opportunities for 2021 and an Atlantic Council Strategy Paper on China. The strategy paper, Global Strategy 2021: An Allied Strategy for China, proposes a comprehensive strategy for the United States and its allies and partners to address China and features contributions from experts from the United States and leading democratic allies.

The Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security will host this timely conversation Tuesday, December 15 and Wednesday, December 16, from 9:00 – 11:00a.m. EST both days. The event will be entirely virtual, and participants will be able to view the event on this webpage, as well as the Atlantic Council’s YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. Make your voice heard on Twitter using the hashtag #RenewingUSLeadership.
