As the global community continues to grapple with the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Atlantic Council is open for business. Our business, meetings, and events, however, are occurring virtually. For more information, please read an update from our President and CEO.
The Atlantic Council and Climate Advisers, in cooperation with the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), are pleased to invite you to participate in a private session of a high-level dialogue focusing on new opportunities, paths, and strategies for greater cooperation between the United States and Europe on climate action. The session will be held on Tuesday, January 12th, 2021, from 8:30 – 10:00 am EST and will focus on how economic stimulus and other pandemic response measures can advance climate action.
This high-level transatlantic climate change dialogue aims to build on impressive progress made by the European Union and leading European member states to meet their ambitious 2030 targets, to begin a program of collaboration with the United States and Canada and to reestablish the leadership role the United States took in the lead-up to the Paris Agreement. To foster a rich conversation, each session will include around a dozen participants from each side of the Atlantic and will be off-the-record.
You will be able to join this conversation via the web application Zoom, which is accessible through your web browser, the Zoom desktop or mobile app, and by phone. Please register below to receive Zoom information.
