The Atlantic Council’s GeoTech Center is pleased to welcome His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence in the UAE, for a public conversation on how the current pandemic presents both challenges and opportunities for technology to respond.

Minister Al Olama joins the Atlantic Council to share his perspective on which technologies will actually deliver on their promised outcomes, while also considering what technology trends will reshape the world as a result of the pandemic happening now.

His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama has participated in the development of the UAE’s 4th Industrial Revolution Strategy, which aims to promote the UAE’s status as a global hub while also creating a national economy based on knowledge, innovation, and future technologies. Prior to his appointment, His Excellency worked on developing the UAE’s Artificial Intelligence.
