Please join the Atlantic Council for a discussion on Ukrainian economic reforms with H.E. Oleksandr Danylyuk, minister of finance of Ukraine.
Over the past three years of the Poroshenko administration, Ukraine has embarked on an ambitious agenda of economic and financial reforms with strong support from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and other transatlantic partners. New budgetary and tax policies have successfully slashed Ukraine’s budget deficit, stabilized its economy, and allowed it to liberalize its currency and return to international finance markets. However, corruption continues to challenge the economy, with the next tranche of IMF financing heavily contingent on Ukraine establishing an independent anticorruption court and other reforms. This conversation with Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oleksandr Danylyuk will analyze the results and prospects of ongoing economic reform efforts in Ukraine.
