After the Independent National Electoral Commission announced a six-week delay in the scheduled presidential election, the Nigerian military launched a major offensive against Islamist terrorist group Boko Haram with military support from neighboring countries, including Chad, Niger, Cameroon, and Benin. 

Please join the Africa Center on Wednesday, March 11, for a discussion with Ambassador Ayodele Oke, CFR, Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He will be joined by Rear Admiral Gabriel E. Okoi, Chief of Defence Intelligence of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. They will provide an update on the offensive against Boko Haram and assess the current security situation throughout Nigeria in view of the upcoming elections.
