In August, top hackers, academics, journalists, professionals, and government representatives will flock to Las Vegas for this year's round of cybersecurity conferences. During this "Hacker Summer Camp," DC Twitter feeds will flood with the events' findings, which will undoubtedly have powerful implications for national and international cybersecurity policy. There will be a sizeable gap, though, between hackers' technical solutions and policymakers' ability to directly translate them into broader outcomes.

This Cyber Risk Wednesday, the Cyber Statecraft Initiative will break down the issues with the help of benevolent hackers. The panel will bridge the gap between Las Vegas and Washington, providing a layer of translation for policymakers to understand the significance, urgency, and response options to the flood of technical information coming from DEF CON, Black Hat, and BSides Las Vegas. Stay tuned for speakers!

Lunch will be served.
