Alexis Harmon is an assistant director at the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center, where she focuses on industrial competitiveness and clean energy supply chains.

Prior to joining the Atlantic Council, Harmon worked for the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Manufacturing, where she conducted research on the future of global industrial strategies. Harmon previously served as chief of staff of the Ambassador’s Office at the US embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan until the embassy’s closure. She has also worked as a diplomatic officer for the refugee resettlement nonprofit Operation Snow Leopard and as a researcher for Georgetown University’s Institute for Women, Peace and Security.

Harmon holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles and a master’s degree in international development from the University of Cambridge.
